Position Overview / Responsibilities

  • Use technical and product knowledge to assess and process customer inquiries
  • Create quotes and orders
  • Propose pricing levels
  • Work in a close relationship between headquarters, US-office and outside sales manager
  • Provide support to customers and prospective customers in all technical issues
  • Responsible for Customer-Relationship-Management
  • Support sales engineers and sales managers with new accounts, existing accounts and the introduction of new products
  •  Prepare technical information
  • Follow-up delivery schedules
  • Conduct market research

Promotion opportunities to Technical Account Manager:

  • Generating leads
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
  • Maintaining client records
  • Answering client questions about products, prices and availability
  • Technical support at site, product surveys
  • Participation on trade shows

Job Requirements

  • Education / Work Experience
    • Must have a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or business administration
    • Previous experience in dealing with medium-sized companies would be ideal
    • Advanced computer skills needed in Microsoft Office
    • SAP skills are a major plus
  • Personality
    • Highly motivated and enthusiastic
    • Detail oriented and conscientious
    • Ability to successfully execute multiple projects
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Must be team-oriented
    • Able to work under pressure, open-minded to changes, flexible and dynamic
  • Language
    • Must be fluent in English
    • Knowledge of German /or Spanish language is a major plus
