Gall chains are used in dam installations for regulating river water levels and generating electricity, as well as in locks to overcome elevation differences on waterways.

In dam installations, chain drives are required for rollers, segment gates, roller gates, and flap gates. In locks, they are used to operate lifting, lift-and-lower, or lowering gates.

KettenWulf has been technology leader in this field for years and offers, among others, two versions: chains with fixed and floating pins made of stainless steel, chain joints with self-lubricating bearings.

These chain joints offer the advantage of not requiring re-lubrication, eliminating the need for additional maintenance. This not only reduces operating costs but also makes a sustainable contribution to environmental protection.

The contact point between chain and sprocket is usually designed without self-lubricating components, so lubrication may be necessary here.

Sprockets are a decisive factor for the capacity and service life of every chain system. KettenWulf therefore relies on the production of its own sprockets, ensuring the high quality of all its products.

All sprockets are manufactured using state-of-the-art machinery. High-quality materials are used, including special coatings or stainless steel as required. Due to the individually tailored heat treatment of the teeth, the wear resistance is significantly increased. KettenWulf also supplies fully assembled shaft units as sub-assemblies.
